Here is the original Music Video to 'Undercover Martyn'

HOW WILL OUR VIDEO DIFFER FROM THE ORIGINAL?!

• First of all there will be TWO band members participating in the video, whereas the original has THREE!
• In the original music video the band members are being held up infront of the camera but a lot of people dressed in black, our band members will be holding themselves up! 
• The background is fixated in this video, however our video will contain atleast four locations with rapid cuts switching between each one.
• The clothing is also fixated, however our video will have varying clothing, where the clothes contrast the location; which basically means, in a posh area the band members will be dressed very scruffy or possibly casual wear depending on how eye catching we want the contrast to look and vise versa.
• Overall it will be made completely different every aspect of this video will be made original FROM THE ORIGINAL!

In the end we decided that this song was the best of the three on our short-list. This seems like a good song out of the three because it has a nice beat and because of the tempo allows us more of an opportunity to accomplish one of our main objectives of the music video, which is to cut to different shots/locations of the band members and introduce the 'contrasting' mise en scene.

These were our final 3 songs choices: 

Noah and the Whale - Five Years Time

This is slower paced than the other two song choices. Therefore, if we had decided to choose this song as our music video there wouldn't be many fast quick edits like we discussed to keep the audience interested. The video would have been very fun to do, but we wouldnt have been taken seriously and very much would have seemed to be a typical student video. 

Two Door Cinema Club - Undercover Martyn

Undercover Martyn is my favourite choice out of the three. If we were to end up choosing this song our main focus would be to introduce as much fast paced editing as possible and alot of close ups of the lead singer aswell as the instruments.  

 You me at Six - Kiss and Tell 

I don't really like this song, it seems too fast paced to be able to be pulled off as a student video, might be too difficult to put on a convincing performance aswell as edit.

Research - Skills Audit

I can confidently say that the research i have conducted in the AS year have effectively improved my skills for A2. In the early days of AS i had difficulty grasping the knowledge behind using professional programs such as 'Final Cut Pro', 'Livetype' And 'Soundtrack Pro', but through constant use and genuine interest in the programs i can say i'm very confident in using these programs now.

As for research, in AS i was very hesistant going about how to research for my coursework, however using blogger has helped me to easily display my research for my coursework and has helped me to express myself in an area i have not, then, yet experienced. 

Although i may not be an excellent blogger i can safely say i have very much improved my blogging skills and have also allowed me to improve, expressing my thoughts through text and images.
